The Grant County Democratic Party is pleased to announce that Tom Roop has been elected its new Vice Chair.
A caucus of eligible Precinct Committee representatives convened on the evening of Aug. 30 to fill the seat left open by Patricia Gibson, former Vice Chair, who was selected County Chair on Aug. 10. Roop was the only candidate on the ballot at the caucus.
Roop has served for many years as a Precinct Chair for the Grant County Democratic Party, a role he retains as he steps up into the Vice Chair role. He will serve out the current term, which runs through the Indiana Democratic Party’s next quadrennial reorganization in March 2025.
The full Central Committee now consists of Chair Patricia Gibson, Vice Chair Tom Roop, Secretary Torri Williams, and Treasurer Geoff Williams. We are grateful to all of these volunteers for their essential work to propel the Grant County Democratic Party forward!
The Grant County Democratic Party is actively seeking volunteers to help with campaigns, to serve as Precinct Chairs, and to help with other Party building tasks.
